Abu Dhabi, Grand Prix and Yasalam Festival

It’s not often that you get to go to a festival and over those days, you get to see see Kanye West, Kelis, Linkin Park, Prince and then watch the final F1 Grand Prix of the season from the Ferrari yacht – and have a chauffeur on call 24/7. Such was the case at Yasalam Festival this year, held on Yas Island and at the Corniche in Abu Dhabi.

We rocked a heavy disco set on Friday night at the Corniche beach stage where we played with Fabolous and Lebanese Super star (and I mean SUPER star in the Middle East) Haifaa, after which we were whisked off to Prince playing a secret gig at the Skybar. He was supposed to play for 20 mins but ended up doing 90 mins!!! The man as we all know is a legend! Then the after-after party was at Cipriani’s playing banging techno with old yachting types and young modelly types. Fanny fanny fanny must be fanny in a rich man’s world. There you have it. Awesome.

Satuday was a short set at the Skybar followed by Flo-Rida. Yes the Low Low Low Low guy, followed by more afterparties etc.

Sunday, yes, watching the Grand Prix from the Ferrari yacht and then watching PRINCE and then more after parties…..

Thanks to our driver Prince Sharjan of Bengal for driving us, sometimes at over-capacity, around Abu Dhabi and the legend that is Keith Howison of Flash for looking after us!!!! Hellooooo thereeeee and assalamu alaikum.
